Mohammad Alomrani

Mohammad Alomrani completed an undergraduate degree in computer science and a Master of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence from the top-ranked program at University of Toronto. He has been hired by one of the world’s largest company as an Artificial Intelligence researcher. He was also an executive member of Ahlalbayt (a) association at UofT and has completed multiple internships at Wali ul Asr School.

Samanah Ali

Samanah Ali is the first Wali ul Asr alumna to graduate from the top journalism program in Canada at the Ryerson School of Journalism. She has been a great ambassador of our beautiful faith at her university and was nominated by the Canadian Association of Journalists for the Student Award of Excellence for her report about the challenges of offering Salat on campus. She also produced a beautiful documentary about the Arbaeen walk, reported on the plight of Shia Muslims in some regions of the world and organized other activities to promote the message of Imam Hussein (a).

Zarmeena Bukhari

Syed Hashir Jaffry

Syed Hashir Jaffry was accepted to top business schools in Canada at Rotman (UofT), Schulich (York), Sauder (UBC) and others. He is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at the top-ranked Rotman School of Management. Hashir was the student council president at Wali ul Asr. He also won multiple regional speech competitions, founded the school’s leadership club and developed a leadership course for students. Hashir participates actively in a variety of social causes and was recognized by the university for his work on climate change.

Alisha Rizvi

Alisha Rizvi is the youngest graduate of Wali ul Asr School, completing her K-12 education four years ahead of her peers. She is currently studying in the education program at University of Toronto and plans to eventually pursue a Ph.D. in Educational Studies InshaAllah.

Aaliyah Fatima Zaidi

Aaliyah Zaidi joined Wali ul Asr in kindergarten, fast-tracked to finish studies 3 years early. She has become one of the youngest students in Canada to be currently studying at the top-ranked Schulich School of Business. Schulich has also given an advance offer of admission to Aaliyah for their Master degree program Allhumdolillah.

Sakina Rizvi

Sakina Rizvi joined Wali ul Asr as an elementary student, completed her undergraduate degree from University of Toronto at the age of 17 and two Master degrees at the age of 19. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in education at McGill University. In addition to being the youngest graduate of UofT at age 17, she is also the youngest university lecturer at age 21 at McGill University, where she is teaching second year university students. Sakina is also a trainer for teaching assistants at McGill University and is also a part-time volunteer teacher at Wali ul Asr School. Sakina won a scholarship at UofT for maintaining the highest GPA in her department and has also spoken as a key speaker at prestigious international conferences on education and religions. Her research has been published in multiple academic journals.

Mariam Rida

Mariam Rida is currently studying at the top-ranked life sciences program at University of Toronto. She had done multiple internships at Wali ul Asr School and is always willing to help the students. Mariam plans to  become a doctor Inshallah.

Ali Abbas Oonwala

Fatima Al-Ali

Fatima Al-Ali joined Wali ul Asr as an elementary student and has become the first Wali ul Asr alumna to be admitted to the highly competitive Doctor of Pharmacy program at UofT. Fatima graduated from UofT with a life sciences degree and was one of the founding members of the Ahlalbayt (a) association. She has also completed multiple internships at Wali ul Asr.

Sukaina Naqvi

Hasan Kamar

Hasan Kamar fast-tracked to finish his high school two years earlier than his peers. He was accepted to pre-medicine programs at multiple universities and is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at the top-ranked life sciences program at the University of Toronto. Hasan actively volunteers at school events and is always willing to help the students.

Zainab Raza

Zainab Raza is currently studying in the top-ranked Neuroscience program at the University of Toronto. Zainab was selected to be on the Dean’s list after the first year due to her high academic achievement and has completed multiple internships at Wali ul Asr School.

Syed Faiz Zaidi

Aleesha Noreen

Aleesha Noreen is currently pursuing a Ph.D in education at the top-ranked program in Canada at University of Toronto. She is also a teacher at Wali ul Asr High School. Aleesha graduated from the life sciences program at UofT and then completed a Master of Education from UofT.

Aliyah Fatima Walli

Mohammed Baaqir Oonwala

Mohammed Baaqir Oonwala was selected as a Quality Assurance Engineer in a health technology company and was previously working as a software developer. He was also the president for University of Waterloo’s chapter of the Thaqalyn Muslim Association. 

Reem Kamar

Reem Kamar is pursuing an undergraduate degree at the top-ranked computer science program at the University of Toronto. Reem was the president of the student council at Wali ul Asr and fast-tracked to finish her high school early. She actively volunteers at all school programs and is a great role model for students.

Zehra Oonwala

Zehra Oonwala joined Wali ul Asr as an elementary student and is currently studying at the top-ranked Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto. She has also completed multiple internships at Wali ul Asr and is a great role model and mentor for students.

Safeer Abbas

Safeer Abbas is currently studying the top-ranked computer science program at the University of Toronto. He has also completed an internship at Wali ul Asr School and regularly participates in extra-curricular activities and sports organized by the school.

Fatima Jamal is currently studying in the top-ranked life sciences program at the University of Toronto. Fatima was selected to be on the Dean’s list after the first year due to her high academic achievement. She has completed an internship at Wali ul Asr School.

Ali Alyaseri

Ali Alyaseri joined Wali ul Asr as an elementary student and is currently studying at the highly competitive engineering program at the University of Toronto. The program is ranked number one in Canada and amongst the top ten engineering programs in the world. Ali has completed multiple internships at Wali ul Asr and is a great role model for students.

Alaa Alyaseri

Alaa Alyaseri graduated from the University of Toronto with a major in philosophy (law and ethics) and anthropology. Based on her academic excellence, she has been offered a teaching assistant role for a third year UofT course. Alaa joined Wali ul Asr as an elementary student and has completed multiple internships at Wali ul Asr. She plans to pursue further studies in the field of law InshaAllah.

Alina Rizvi

Alina Rizvi is currently studying in the education program at the Athabasca University. Alina is passionate about bringing out the best in young children and plans to become an educator InshaAllah.

Tahira Naqvi

Tahira Naqvi joined Wali ul Asr as an elementary student and has become the first Wali ul Asr alumna to be accepted to the prestigious Bloomberg School of Nursing at University of Toronto. The program is ranked number one in Canada and amongst the top three in the world. Tahira graduated from the life sciences program at University of Toronto and has completed multiple internships at Wali ul Asr School. She is a great role model and mentor for students.

Ailiya Fatima

Ailiya Fatima was accepted to the top business programs in Canada at Rotman and Schulich. She is pursuing an undergraduate degree at the top-ranked Schulich School of Business. Ailiya won an award from Schulich that covers her tution costs for the entire year Allhumdolillah.

Sara Karbalai

Sara Karbalai is currently studying at the top-ranked computer science program at the University of Toronto. She is also pursuing another major in professional writing and has completed multiple internships at Wali ul Asr School.

Feena Naqvi

Feena Naqvi is currently studying at the Ted Rogers School of Business at Ryerson University; she is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business and Technology Management. Feena has completed internships at various organizations including Wali ul Asr and is a great role model for students.

Yahya Masaud

Yahya Masaud is currently studying in the life sciences program at University of Toronto. He has also completed multiple internships at the school and is a great role model and mentor for the students.

Saniya Naqvi

Saniya Naqvi joined Wali ul Asr as an elementary student and is currently studying at the top-ranked Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto. She has also completed multiple internships at Wali ul Asr and is a great role model and mentor for students.

Fatima Syed

Fatima Syed graduated from the top-ranked life sciences program at the University of Toronto with distinction. She also completed a major in professional writing and communication.

Jad Ademi

Jad Ademi joined Wali ul Asr as an elementary student and is currently studying in the life sciences program at McMaster University. He plans to pursue a career in medicine InshaAllah.

Zahiraa Mohamedali

Zahiraa Mohamedali is currently studying at the top-ranked computer science program at the University of Toronto. She studied at Wali ul Asr for over ten years Allhumdolillah.

Malaika Zaidi

Malaika Zaidi joined Wali ul Asr as an elementary student and graduated from the top-ranked computer science program at the University of Toronto. She won many academic and extra-curricular excellence awards at Wali ul Asr school and was chosen as the teaching assistant for multiple computer science courses at University of Toronto. She is currently working as a software engineer at a thriving company.
